Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Ovidio. These Terms govern your access to and use of our application and services. By using Ovidio, you agree to be bound by the terms described below.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Ovidio mobile application or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Ovidio is an AI-powered platform that converts PDF documents uploaded by users into narrated audio files ("audiobooks"). The Service is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use most features of Ovidio. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate, complete information during registration. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Credits & Payments
Ovidio operates on a credit-based system. Credits are consumed when you convert a PDF to audio. Free credits are provided upon registration. Additional credits may be purchased through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) as in-app purchases. All purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law. Pricing is subject to change with reasonable notice.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of any PDFs and documents you upload ("User Content"). By uploading content, you grant Ovidio a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you upload and that your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights. We do not store user content longer than necessary to complete processing.
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to: (a) upload content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property; (b) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the application; (d) use automated tools to access the Service in a manner that could damage or disable it; (e) resell or redistribute audio output without permission.
7. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Ovidio brand, software, AI models, and generated audio infrastructure are owned by Ovidio and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use the Ovidio name, logo, or trademarks.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and share your information.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. OVIDIO DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. AI-GENERATED AUDIO MAY CONTAIN ERRORS OR MISPRONUNCIATIONS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OVIDIO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF OVIDIO HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
